For Maybelline’s 2018 World Wide meeting in Paris, commercial concepts are presented to the company for products meant to launch the following year. Using print ad concepts, as well as product packaging design, this video brings the aesthetic direction of the ads to life.
The bronzy-glow themed footage inspired the text design and motion. The product animations were created in 3D from still product photography. I was given free reign to design and animate the product as I wished. Much of the original motion concepts did end up in the final piece. Working with the Director and Creative Director to keep the beauty of the original footage, as well as the aesthetic of the brand in mind, we ended up with the piece you see here.
