Maybelline promotional video for World Wide 2018 meeting in Paris. An upcoming collaboration brought to life through film and animation.
Products would re-created in Element 3D as they only existed in product photography during production of this film. It was an exciting challenge to get the textures and shapes accurate using primitive shapes. The client and Director were pleased with the final result, although the version you see here is the Art Director’s cut, featuring more graphics work.

Matrix is all about amazing, professional hair. This video is for their Total Results range of products. The task here was to revamp their existing brandbook content, and bring it to life in film.
I worked closely with the Director and Creative Director, on bringing their brand book imagery to the next level of coolness. As well as thinking of fun gestures for talent to act out on set.

For Maybelline’s 2018 World Wide meeting in Paris, commercial concepts are presented to the company for products meant to launch the following year. Using print ad concepts, as well as product packaging design, this video brings the aesthetic direction of the ads to life.
The bronzy-glow themed footage inspired the text design and motion. The product animations were created in 3D from still product photography. I was given free reign to design and animate the product as I wished. Much of the original motion concepts did end up in the final piece. Working with the Director and Creative Director to keep the beauty of the original footage, as well as the aesthetic of the brand in mind, we ended up with the piece you see here.

A new first-to-market salon-grade product from Soft Sheen Carson, Damage Slayer reverses damage to the hair cuticle. The challenge here was to tell the “science” story in an accurate, yet aesthetically pleasing way. Close up hair follicles are the most beautiful things in the world, so the approach was to step away from the traditional “damaged” hair look, and go for a visual metaphor. The end result is what you see here.
Some fun manipulation of the footage and product animation bring the whole thing to life.

For Maybelline's Paris 2016 Direct Marketing International meeting this 80 foot screen opener was created to encapsulate the Maybelline Brand. The theme, Make IT Happen. Working closely with Director and Creative Director, the goal was to capture the energy and aesthetic that is Maybelline New York. and push them further into the beauty future. Make things. Make your future.
Shot in 16:9, the unique length of this composition was later created in post, compositing the scenes without losing beauty or quality.
Textures and products were all originally still photography. 2D & 3D animation were used to bring them to life.

Movado came to us with the challenge of bringing life to their paint campaign, ‘Don’t Let Numbers Define You’. What initially began as a single brushstroke on a page, evolved to the spot you see here.
Working closely with the 3D team, Ars Theanea, we achieved this flying paint universe.

Movado Edge infuses an icon of modern design with stunning new shape and texture. In collaboration with renowned modern industrial designer Yves Béhar, the iconic DOT is remimagined. The task here was to highlight the new design's sculptural beauty. The trick was finding the right balance between quintessential Movado and the Swiss design movement that inspired the entire campaign.
The launch transitioned to several platforms, from print to TVC as well as a billboard in Times Square.

Luxury watchmaker MOVADO wanted to enter the smartwatch scene with a big statement. It was important to maintain the minimalist aesthetic of the brand, inspired by Bauhaus styling. The iconic DOT at the top of the watch face displays the phases of the moon. The digital faces feature interchangeable designs, getting these across (as well as the google features) in a 15 second spot was a challenge. The client was very pleased with the end result, pushing the brand further in it’s design evolution.
3D work was achieved with the amazing Ars Thanea studio. Together, we achieved the pieces seen here.
In the design phase, many iterations of what we called the “body shots” of the object were created. We wanted to find the perfect angles to highlight to show the beauty of the watch.
This was done in Element 3D using CAD files as the base model.

Cyclox is one of the 100 face variations on the Movado Connect smartwatch. This one design was particularly interesting because of the re-design of the classic way we read time.
CYCLOX finally brings Nathan George Horwitt’s 1936 design to life with its sweeping edge to indicate seconds, a rotating single dot representing minutes and the hour displayed in the center.
What you see here is a non-verbal explanation of this new way to read time, which is really quite ingenious. Starting with the iconic DOT, CIRCLE, LINE visual, we transition to the cyclox design of time.
Also included here is Nathan George Horwitt’s original sketch of the design, brought to life.
The Valentine’s Day launch for Movado Edge. This sweet video was used on social media to promote the Edge watch for HER. Working only from a still, the fun challenge here was to bring the paper card look to life.
Stop motion style animation seemed a perfect match for the card theme.

Matrix wanted a video that encapsulated their latest hair trend inspired by the iconic POP art style. Shot and produced by TAG creative, featuring the Matrix hair experts visualizing this classic art movement. Taking cues from Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein to create this trend showcase.

To celebrate the biggest lipstick launch in history, Urban Decay and TAG creative teamed up to create one badass launch video. Ruby Rose stars as the face that launched 100 lipsticks. Working with several creative minds to visualize the big moment for Urban Decay, displayed here is the final piece, as well as some creative that was explored along the way.

TV spot for Maybelline's new product, Pumped Up Colossal Mascara. Working on a team to explore the design & depiction for the product demo. A graphic representation of the double collagen wrapping around the lashes was a design challenge that received great sales results, proving extremely rewarding.
The finished piece is seen here, as well as the exploration animations that eventually led to final version of the product demo.
